Serein - Blue Note Therapeutics
Blue Note Therapeutics, a client I worked for while at Filament Games, believed they could leverage technology to deliver the therapeutic benefits of meaning-centered psychotherapy through a mobile app. I took over as this projects UI/UX developer in early alpha to finalize wireframes and begin implementation. I stayed on this project until Filament Games’ contract ended nearly a year later, creating all of the UI for this large scale game.
We collaborated with Blue Note and their partner, Vital Minds Media, to develop a digital app experience called Serein, which takes cancer patients on an adventure across the Land of Meaning. In the experience, players assume the role of a bird, assisting their companions in reopening the Gate of Meaning. Throughout the journey, users relate the features of the landscape to sources of meaning in their own lives by sharing stories and completing challenges.
